The Prislop Pass is 27.7 km, about 35 minutes away, on the same road as the guesthouse: the DN18 climbs through Borșa and crosses the mountains to Bucovina.
What to see
Fir forests, deep valleys and mountain views. The sign at the pass gives an altitude of 1,416 m.
Good to know
- In winter, check the road conditions over the pass before setting off.
- It makes a good stop on the way to the painted monasteries of Bucovina, if your group continues its tour there.
