Horse riding with Cai Borșa

Cai Borșa is a riding centre on 22 Decembrie street in Borșa, about 7 km, roughly 10 minutes from the guesthouse. From the trails you can see Pietrosul Rodnei, the highest peak in the Eastern Carpathians. All the details and bookings are on their website, caiborsa.ro.

What you can do

• Guided mountain rides on mountain roads, through the forest and across meadows. The horses are gentle and know the way, so the rides suit first-timers too. The short ride takes 1 h 30 min, the long one 2 h 30 min.
• Riding lessons for children and adults, in the arena, with an instructor licensed by the Romanian Equestrian Federation. For little ones there is also a short 10-minute ride.
• Carriage rides over the hills of Borșa, for one hour, up to 10 people. Through the hay meadows in summer, through the snow in winter.
• Photo shoots and events with decorated horses and carriage, on request.

Good to know

• All activities are by appointment. Book directly with them: phone and WhatsApp +40 757 828 173.
• In winter there are carriage rides through the snow and, when the weather allows, horseback rides.
• Tell them your children’s ages when you write, and they will suggest what suits them.

For groups

For children, an hour with the horses is a welcome break between two days on the road. Tell us and we will help with the plan: horses in the morning, the Heroes’ Memorial in the afternoon, dinner at the guesthouse in the evening.
