Moisei Monastery, dedicated to the Dormition of the Mother of God, is 11.1 km, about 16 minutes away by car or coach. Locally it is also known as Izvorul Negru.
What to see
The old wooden church with its shingle roof stands on the monastery plateau. According to Wikipedia, it was built by the villagers in 1599 and for almost a hundred years belonged to Putna Monastery.

- The monastery’s feast day is 15 August. Many pilgrims come around this date, so the road and the car park can be busy.
